07-30-1998 Viva Forever Number 1 Melanie C has been flown in to sing with Bruce Willis in Montreal at the opening of his Planet Hollywood. Melanie C sang a duet with the actor, "Down In Hollywood". Rumours have it Bruce payed a lavish $10,000 to fly Melanie from Chicago (where the girls were on a break from the US Tour) to Montreal.
"Viva Forever" hits the top spot on it's first week of release.
With the much success of the original Spice Girls dolls, "On Tour" dolls, the girls are ready to release the "Superstar Collection". Galoob announces the dresses are based on the Billboard Music Awards outfit worn in 1997
This will be the third issue of dolls by Galoob.
The Spice Girls first single without Geri is released today! Although the track still includes Geri's audio tracks...ie she sings on it...the Spice Girls are to promote the single as a quartet...ie don't expect the girls to sing with a video screen and a Geri tape.

The Spice Girls has signed a deal with Toymax Inc. The toy company will produce 3 and 6 inch figures.

Polygram expects to increase sales of "SpiceWorld: the movie" with the release of a special edition of the movie. The Special edition will contain a behind the scenes doc. of the making of the movie as well as a special performance of Mama at Albert Hall.
The expected release date is for Nov 2nd....but things are yet unsure.
The Spice Girls didn't make it into this years VIP listing. The "bible" to who's who didn't include the girls because they question the groups staying power.
This list is used by many bars and clubs to allow people in the list into the VIP rooms.
Don't hold your breath for Viva Forever. The promo single is out now, but the singles have yet not hit the stores. Special limited edition cds will be released. The cd will also include live tracks, a poster, and remixes.
