Spice Girls' publicist Elizabeth Freund was was asked about the rumors of the Spice Girls breaking up after releasing their third album(Story). She said:
"It's absolutely baloney. It's hogwash. They love what they're doing, they're on a high, and they're looking forward to their future, not planning their demise."
Check out the audio section, it's been uploaded with the Earls Court audios and new tracks.
Melanie C is in the latest issue of Nylon Magazine. There is a three page article and three pictures of her in it. Check it out in the articles section.
Victoria: "I've actually just had a grope of myself, so that's what it must feel like for David"
Emma: "We've all been kissing each other!"
Melanie G: "We kissed ourselves to see what it would be like to kiss ourselves! Don't you feel like a bit spooked out by it?"
Melanie C: "I think that might actually give children nightmares!"
Melanie G: "We had to strip naked and they got like this tiny tape measure and they'd measure every part of your body. So it was like getting massaged as well. No, I'm only joking! We were fully clothed!"
Rumour
The Spice Girls are preparing to announce plans to break up next year once their third album is released. The girls called a series of meetings with lawyers and record company bosses on Friday to discuss how to break the news to their fans. The four girls themselves held a private meeting between them at London's Metropolitan Hotel on Friday morning before going on to Virgin Record headquarters to talk to their legal team. The girls want to concentrate on solo careers and that Victoria and Mel C were keen to make their plans public as soon as possible. This idea was rejected by the record company. A 'close source' said:
"The girls are showing a united front but privately they are finding it difficult to juggle the band with solo projects and family commitments. Something has to give, and it looks likely to be the band."
Keep in mind that this is about the 80,000th rumor like this since the Spice Girls started.
Melanie C will be in the January 2000 issue of Q magazine(UK).
Melanie C wept on stage at the end of the Spice Girls' final show of their December tour. Melanie C's explanation? She says:
"I always end up crying on the first and last night of a tour."
Yesterday Spice Girls were at Madame Tussaud's Rock Circus in London for the unveiling of their wax doubles. The girls have become the first pop band to be modelled as a group since The Beatles in 1964.
In the late night hours last night stage mechanics were dismatling the Spice Girls' stage setup when a lighting rigger plunged 100 feet to his death. The man fell through the roof of Earl's Court Exhibition Centre. The Spice Girls were said to be "horrified" when they learned the news.
I feel terrible for the family of the crew member. My hear goes out to you all.
The Spice Girls short UK Tour has come to a halt. The girls successfully played old and future hits. They looked fab in the broadcast! Congrats to the girls for their hard work.
The Official Spice Girls Homepage has been redesigned due to yesterdays broadcast. The full concert will be viewable at the official site shortly. Check out all the new goodies and the new look!

The Spice Girls talk about the third album to The Sun:
Mel G: "We're going to finish our third album in the first few weeks of the new year, fingers crossed. When we tour next year we want to go to places we missed out on our last tour. I'd love to go to Japan and Australia."
Emma: "I know we're still finishing our third album but we want to do another one. We love doing our solo stuff but we want to carry on releasing material as the Spice Girls as well."
Mel C said: "It's going to be different from the other two. There are a lot more tracks from different styles. We've got dance stuff,
R&B and ballads - a real mixture which we hope the fans will like. The Spice Girls have moved on and so has our sound. We've worked with a lot of top producers such as Rodney Jerkins, who has worked with Whitney Houston. We played some of our new material at the concerts in Manchester and were
really nervous about how the fans would react to it. But it went down a storm and it was such a huge relief. We just can't wait to tour and play our new songs. It doesn't matter how many times we go on stage, we still get nervous. We've still got our little superstitions. There is one thing we do all together - but I'm not going to say what it is."
Victoria: "We both[Her and MelG] wear odd socks. We did it on day one and have done it ever since."
Victoria laughed off rumours that she has had the name of hubby David's team, Man United, tattooed on her back. She said:
"I don't know where the story came from but I haven't. It's a funny rumour, though."
Liverpool fan Mel C piped up: "If it was, I'd kick you up the arse."
Finally Melanie C talked about buying Christmas gifts for her family and friends with their hectic schedule especially at the moment. Mel C said:
"It gets harder each year. We try to get presents which top the year before but it's really difficult."
Hi everyone!!

Melanie C joined the ranks of George Michael by bashing the current number 1 single in the UK for the third week in a row "Millennium Prayer" by Sir Cliff Richard. The song has recieved very much media scrutany, and has not been played by many major radio stations. Melanie C said:
"It's a complete pile of shit. It's nothing new. It's put together very cheaply and it's ripping off the fans. If it was any good, I'd say 'Good on you,
Cliff,' but it's not. It's terrible."
Melanie C was recently featured in Sanity Magazine(AUS). Read the article in the articles section.
There is an interview article with Melanie C is in this week's issue of LA Weekly, a free newspaper available in Los Angeles.
Thanks Joz
Melanie C covers Elle (UK). Read the article in the articles section.

Arthur Shaw & Co, an online music provider, has entered into an exclusive agreement with Spice Girls to transmit their concerts over the Internet. The director of the company, Bryan Morrison, said the deal includes other possible interactive activites with the Spices. He said:
"People can talk to them, spend a day with them... It will be a 'Spice World'"
Broadcasting of the concerts is scheduled to begin in about seven months.
The Spice Girls have confirmed plans of doing more touring next summer. In a recent exchange of words with British tabloid The Sun, the Spice Girls were asked about their future as a group and responded:
"It's far from over, we're gonna do it all again in the year 2000."
Melanie G said:
"People keep saying we're finished. Well, I've got news for them. We've got our third album out next year and we're gonna play again for our
fans. We're entering phase three of the Spice Girls. The first one was Spice, the second SpiceWorld, now it's going to be Spice 2000."
Emma added:
"We've all done solo projects but it's exciting now we're the Spice Girls again. It's woman power now, not girl power. We've grown up and are doing our own things but we're still the Spice Girls, just a bit older."
The Spice Girls were in for their final sittings and measurings for their wax model look-a-likes which will go on display at Madame Tussaud's Rock
Circus in London next week. When Melanie C was asked if the sculpters would like to change anything she said "I'd like bigger bosoms."
Spice Girls will have the honor of being the first Elle Magazine(UK) cover of the new millennium. The Sice Girls will be on the cover for the January 2000 issue of the magazine. Actress Uma Thurman was scheduled to be on the cover but was ditched when Elle bosses found out that Spice Girls were willing to do it.

Rumour
According to MTVNews(US), Melanie C said that the Spice Girls expect to launch a U.S. tour in the summer of 2000.
Sporty Spice Melanie C has recently talked with MTV News(US) and expressed her feelings on the current state of pop music and where the Spice Girls stand in it. Melanie said:
"Initially we were standing up there for Girl Power and everything, which is fantastic. Now there's a lot of girl bands. There's a lot more female artists, maybe not having to do with us, but you know, it's made it more acceptable, and in Britain there's some great pop out there... and there's a lot of terrible pop out there, which is a shame. But that's always the way. When something comes out in fashion, when something becomes successful, everybody jumps on the bandwagon. So that's something which is quite sad, but it was gonna happen. It was gonna happen anyway, and I mean, I feel now music is... enough already with the pop. You know, I think it's time for the next stage, thank you very much. I mean, okay, Spice Girls - we're a pop band, but I think we're the more sophisticated end of pop. I like to think so, anyway."
There seems to be a Spice Girls page at Sky News at http://spice.sky.co.uk. Spice Girls seem to have posted a message there as well:
Yes, that's right! We're back! After an amazing year, we can't wait to get back onstage together and we want you to share in the fun!

Melanie C, Victoria, Emma and Mel G
The December 14th concert webcast will apparently take place from that webpage. SpiceNews will notify of any competitions on that web page as well.
The Spice Girls have been voted as Worst Group of 1999 in a poll by Smash Hits Magazine(UK). Two years ago the girls were named Best British Group by the same magazine. Second and third place for worst group went to Boyzone and Five respectively. Melanie C by herself was awarded the Worst Female Singer, Worst Single, Worst Video, Most Tragic Haircut, and Worst Dressed Person awards. The awards were chosen by a poll of Smash Hits readers.
How Stupid do you have to be to say this about the girls? They're great and in very little time people will be able to realise just how dumb they are. There are way too many crappy pop groups out there...the Spice Girls were and are the best girl group around. And Melanie C is a great solo artist and the world will soon find that out too....I bet she'll be winning Brit awards for her album.
Here is the set list for the Spice Girls' upcoming concerts:
The Spice Girls performed their first concert in over a year today. All went well. The girls emerged from the ground in a mist of smoke, dressed in
different colored sequinned outfits. Melanie C said to the crowd "We've missed you." Melanie C wore split trousers. They started the concert with a spectacular laser show and "Spice Up Your Life". They sang "Mama", "Too Much", "Wannabe", previewed three new songs, and mock snow fell during "Goodbye", in which a choir assisted the girls with the song. The show ended with "Viva Forever". There were many more songs performed and the whole concert was about two hours long. The Spice Girls will be touring England for the rest of the month.
The Official Spice Girls Homepage has 25 pairs of tickets to give away!
The Spice Girls new adverts for their upcoming tour shows a more layed back earthy girls.
The girls seem more like the girl next door than the colorful, glammed up girls of yester-year.
Somehow some local station "Kare 11" has obtained at least a clip of one of the Spice Girls' third album songs! Oxygen, a sweet ballad, has aired! Keep on the alert for a sneak peak.
Melanie C will be one of the celebrity judges for a karaoke contest on Queen Latifah's show this Friday. Check local listings for times and stations.
Melanie C joined Virgin boss Richard Branson today to open the new Virgin Megastore in Glasgow's Buchanan Street. Melanie signed copies of her album Northern Star at the store after it opened.
The Spice Girls' December 14th concert at Earl Court in London will be broadcast live over the Internet! The concert will be broadcast from the Spice Girls' official homepage.
