• A generic 12" of Goin' Down b/w Ga Ga is being serviced in Los Angeles and New York prior to her showcase dates. These are being sent to clubs, college radio and lifestyle outlets. A color sleeve version of this 12" will be serviced wide on October 1st. It will go out to clubs, college radio and lifestyle outlets.
• Goin' Down is being featured on MusicVideos.com in order to set up the tour dates. Teen.com will be airing the video beginning the week of the 20th of September.

Melanie C was on radio station Z100 for a small period of time this morning, she's in town to promote her album and possibly the single.

Much Music Intimate & Interactive with Melanie C will take place this Sunday from 3 to 4pm in Toronto.

The Spice Girls will participate in charity single "It's Only Rock and Roll", cover of Rolling Stone's song. It'll be released early 2000.

When asked about her sexuality, Melanie responded:

"I do not like women in that way. It is true there is no man in my life at the moment. But there is no woman in my life either. I only like women as friends. I am straight."

Melanie C has kicked off her world tour tonight in Liverpool! In a press conference before the gig Melanie, who is nursing a cold, said:

"I'm gutted I'm missing the match. I can't believe it's the same night as the derby. I mean, whose bad planning was that, eh?"

However, one positive aspect of tonight's performance is that it is for a warm Liverpool home crowd. Melanie shut down alligations that Goin'Down was about Geri and Robbie. She also denied reports that she is living as a tax-exile saying:

"I'm quite happy to pay my taxes. I have got enough money, I want to give it to people who haven't."

Melanie also said that the other Spice Girls have given her their blessing for her whirlwind tour and that all the Spice Girls are very supportive of each other's solo projects.

London Fasion Week, and Melanie C has been spotted support Melanie G on her second night modeling for Julien MacDonald.

Melanie C will be presenting an award at the 13th annual ARIA Awards. This award show is Australia's biggest music award show. The show airs at 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 12 broadcast by Ten Network.

More info about Melanie C admitting that she had a romantic liason with Robbie Williams has arrisen. Melanie has revealed that the fling began in late 1997 when both of them were in America. Williams at that time began stepping out with All Saint Nicole Appleton while still seeing Melanie C. Today Nicole and Melanie C are dear friends, and they both give Robbie a hard time whenever they see him.

Melanie C does voice over for Liverpool documentray by BBC Radio 1. The documentary will be broadcast on October 18 and is designed to act as a promotion and scene setter for the week long Sound City music event in Liverpool. Ironically it'll air on the release date of Melanie C's solo album.

Sporty Spice has admitted to not having a proper intimate relationship with anyone since the start of Spice Girls. She additionally admits that she is already interested in having a baby. She fears that she is running out of time for meeting someone since she is already 25. Mel said:

"I've not had a proper boyfriend since the Spice Girls began," Mel, 25, tells The Big Issue. Any bloke I ever meet, it always goes wrong, I just get bored. Maybe it's me being a bitch, but I've got such an exciting life it's hard to find someone. There's nobody I even fancy. I'd have a baby without being married. I'm not a strong believer in marriage. I come from a broken home and it does put a dampener on things. I'm 25 and my clock's ticking."

NME apologised to fans for putting Melanie C on the cover of the indie magazine. Fans wrote in protesting that Melanie C was not indie, she was pop.

According to the latest issue of Heat, UK magazine, Melanie C is the 8th hottest celebrity based on "industry experts" poll.

The BBC reports that Spice Girls will put on a performance next July in Cardiff, Wales at the new Millenium Stadium. The stadium seats 72,000, while Wembley (the previous largest gig) only seats 60,000.>

Melanie C was heckled and sworn at by the live audience on the ITV(UK) show CD:UK. Melanie C was asked what she thought about Geri, and when she replied:

"I don't like her voice. I'm not being horrible, I'm just honest."

The show's audience shouted and swore at her. One girl shouted:

Many of the performers at this year's V99 Music festival signed plagues from their dressing room doors to be auctioned off on eBay.com this week. The proceeds will be donated to a Down's Syndrome charity. The autographs of James Brown, Spice Girl Mel C, and the Manic Street Preachers will all go under auction this week at eBay.com.

Melanie C has announced she will embark on a quick 30-day world tour to promote her solo album.

She will perform on Sept 27 at Liverpool's Royal Court, the day of the release of her first single.

Melanie C will then open her tour in October in New York's Irving Plaza.

After touring America, Melanie C plans to hit Australia, Japan and Europe. After shows in Milan, Munich, Paris and Amsterdam, the tour will come to an end in London Astoria on Nov 1st.

Although London's date and Liverpool's date are confirmed, the management team has yet not confirmed any of the inbetween dates.
