04-29-01 Updated J's Well...I knwo there hasn't been too much going on...Melanie C seems to be doing pretty well. I've received a lot of strong coments about how great her concerts in the US and Canada have been, and all of you in the UK are very close to seeing her perform. Mel will be back in the UK during May for a great lengthy tour! She'll then hit the recording studio...I can't wait. Anyway I did update J's site for a little giggle. Melanie C has been interviewed by Nylon magazine. She was interviewed by them in the beginning of her solo career in 99 and has been interviewed by them again on their latest issue. The interview follows her on her US tour. I will buy a copy today and post up scans of the images and all for all of you to see...but if you are like me you'll most likely buy the magazine...so have fun with it! I'm so glad. Once again that is the US version of Nylon.

It is said that Melanie C has signed on to make a documentray that would follow her in her current tour in order to stop speculation about her personal life and give fans a better insight of what she is like behind the scenes. The 26 year old singer has signed on her own production team, Red Girl Productions Ltd, to produce the documentray. This would be the second documentray about her solo life. The first was to promote the launch of her solo career and was produced by Channel 4. It was intitiled Northern Star. But this new documentary sounds a lot more promising...since there really sems to be a purpouse behind it....not just showing why and how they recorded "Northern Star".

Rumour surounds this years' Party In The Park. It is believed that an all around Spice Reunion is being planned by the Party In The Park coorindators who have invited every single on the Spice Girls and ex-Spice Geri Halliwell! The Spice Girls are still very important musicians in the British Music Industry, it has been heard quoted by the coordinators, and they wanted to bring the girls together to perform their solo work and hopefully once they are together sparks will fly and a live performance of their hits will occur...perhpas even including some of the "Forever" tracks which, for the most part, have not ben performed live. I can't wait. Hope it is all true. Sounds like it will be very much worth it.

Melanie C is up for the Ivor Novell Award for I Turn To You. The single is nominated for the "International Hit OF The Year". The other two nominees are "It Fels So Good" by Sonique and "Sex Bomb" by Tom Jones. Good luck Melanie!

New York- According to Spice Girl Mel C, the world's a quieter place without her three musical partners.
"When we are together it's complete chaos around us and that's never something I was completely comfortable with," says the singer, who is on a solo tour of the United States.
"As a solo artist, there's the odd occasion of mayhem, but it's on a far lesser scale than Spice Girls. So I really am enjoying that, to just be able to go around, quite anonymously in America" she told the New York Daily News in Saturday's edition.
Known to her fans also as Sporty Spice, Mel C(real name Melanie Chisholm) is promoting her first solo album, "Northern Star."
The Spice Girls are on an open-ended hiatus, and Chisholm is following in the footsteps of fellow Spices Baby, Scary and Ginger who have each released solo efforts.
I'm loving it! Melanie C..I Turn To You...being played in the coolest club I know. I love it....I love it so so much..thanks DJ Michele for spinning. Anyway no other big news at the moment...just wanted to share my excitment...since there is no big news. Have a great Easter everyone!

"Mel came to Montreal for 3 days to do promotion. Among radio stations she did a TV interview on Musique-Plus that I was lucky enough to attend. While there she said that it is her newsyears resolution to stop reading tabloids. She also talked about the solo careers saying that, it was a very strange experience recording Forever and she felt kind of awkward. She feels way more comfortable signing her own music, even though she thinks Forever was their best work. Mel played a wonderful show at Club Soda on Tuesday night. Then on Wednesday she did a private show for about 80 people only! I got to see it and let me tell you, it was amazing! It was Completely Acoustic! She played: when you're gone, Never be the same again, Closer, Northern Star, If that were me, Feel the Sun, and Going Down. It was really cool. Mel was super nice! She signed autographs even though the security guards demanded that she doesn't! "
An update on the Capital FM Music Awards. Melanie C has not won the Best Female Vocalist award, instead Dido won the award. Well, I'm glad Melanie did win an award at the Internatioanl Dance Music Awards. Incase you've forgoten she won Best New Dance Artist.

The Spice Girls have hit the record books again being the first band to have all four original members hit the number one spot in the UK charts. the BEatels held the position for years as three of the four members hit the number spot with their own solo efforts...but with Melanie C, Melanie B, Geri and Emma Bunton hitting the number one's on their own they have managed to move the Beatles out of the way. Will Posh Spice make them break their own record later this year?

Melanie C has won the Best New Dance Artist Solo award at the International Dance Music Awards held in Miami Florida USA. She is also the 7th most played artist in Britain during the year 2000! Congrats Melanie!

Not much news today. I wouldn't believe the rumours about Geri and robbie getting hitched. I just realized it was April Fools day when the news was announced, so it mught be a prank. If it did occur I can see how Mel would be hurt seeing that her ex best friend and ex boyfriend got married....yet I don't think it happened. Talk to you all soon!
