There isn't too much news today. There are always rumours such as the rumour that the Spice Girls are planning another comeback with new nicknames and a new sound and look. But then again isn't that exactly what they did according to the UK tabloids? Who knows. Unless the stories are confirmed by Virgin or the Spice Girls I wouldn't set my hopes on them. Melanie C was recently at a South African press conference.

Well, once again more news shows that Melanie C's website has forgotten to put up a few dates she is indeed going to be performing. Last time they missed two UK dates, this time they missed two Russian dates! Melanie C will be in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

The Spice Girls have lost the court case against Aprilia. The case revolved around Geri's depature and the failure of the promotion of the Spice Girls scooters which did not sell well at all. Aprilia belive the scooters sold bad becuase Geri was not in the pictures due to her departure. The contract called for all five girls, and they did not deliver all five. The Spice Girls owe them 434,000 punds, roughly $900,000.
Seems kinda unfair, cuase if the product was good it would have sold with or without the five Spice Girls. But that is my oppinion.

It can be pretty difficult actually, but you learn to cope with it. Personally, I just try to ignore them." Uk little known band A1 have launched a verbal assault on Melanie C claiming that she should shut up and stop complaining about other pop groups, this as a remark to Melanie's thought about how Popstar emebrs are being taken abuse from. A1 go on to say that Melanie C is "no good anyways", so who is she to say other groups are good or crap. Ironically Melanie C can sing live where as all the other groups she has complained about have never sung live in their concerts....sounds like a Milli Vanilli don't you think?
Ofcourse the tiny little shits had to assault glorious Melanie while she was out of the UK on tour, cause they all know the truth is that Melanie C is a excellent singer and she has all the rights to complain about other no talented groups. They are trying to use this as a publicity stunt to promote theri upcoming single which needs more help from talboids becuase the music alone can't cut it. Typical for no talents huh? Ha ha ha. It is rumoured that the Spice Girls might tour at the end of the yer, Melanie B has told interviewers that they are thinking about the tour, yet emma Bunton denied a tour earlier this year. Meanwhile Victoria Beckham might sign on to record An Audience With. If she does record the show it will be one of the biggest An Audience With. Elton John, and all the Spice Girls will be among the invites. Victoria plans to promote her album along with the show.

Just wanted to let you all know that I have finally been added on to the search engines! If you look up Mel C News, or MelCNews or Melanie C News you may run accross my website on the MSN search engine. That is something way cool and exciting for me.
Melanie answers more emails at her website. She announces that she will consider a Live Video but discards the Live album, which I thought was a brilliant proposal because she sounds great live. Not too many artist sound as great live as Melanie does, but she claims to want to focus on new material instead. She also tells you how to get the sheet music for her Northern Star album.
Melanie C's latest gigs have been reviewed and have received great comments. Her gig at Athens was great according to reporters, and they say that she sung like never-before. She hit all the high notes beautifully, and she even sung a dance remix of Feel the Sun. She played "Independence Day" and "I Want You Back" aswell as a solo version of "When You're Gone". All in all the concert was great, though the reporter was not too content with the dance mix of "Feel The Sun" which was played at the end with "I Turn To You"..
Personally I am a big fan of remixes cause they make songs very different/ I am very much intrigued and wonder how "Feel The Sun" sounds, if any of you attend any of her World Tour dates before I do(I'll be seeing her in America) and wish to send in a review and pics please do so. Melanie C has not let the violence in the Middle East deter her from bringing her music to Israel.
Spaeking in Tel Aviv, Sporty Spice said she was not afraid to be there.
The Spice Girl says she is currently focusing on her solo career, but will always be a Spice Girl.

Despite branding the Spice Girls fat and ugly, Melanie C is still vrey interested in working with Eminem. The most talented Spice Girls is currently touring and in a stop at Athens greece she told reporters on an online chat that she would veyr much love to work with the controversial artist. She admitted that he was talented but seemed to sometime goes too far with his comments.
I agree with Melanie. He is talented, but he is a jerk. He doens't seem to have a notion at how important his words are to young impressionable fans.

Wow! Melanie C is indeed going to release I Turn To You in the USA finally! It seems that they thing Melanie C should have an impact in the USA, and since the track already got to number 1 in the Billboard Dance/Club Mix as a promo only it will most likely do well nationwide as an official single. Cdnow already has a pre-order ready. The single will be released March 13th, two weeks before her solo US tour.
It is kinda odd, cause the single has already received a lot of air-play in the big cities. I don't know eaxctly how this will affect the slaes, but then again the video will be played on MTV, and it has never done that, so it'll be able to have its chance to crack into the Billboard Radio chart and singles chart aswell. Can't wait. No track listing available yet, but who knows how didfferent it'll be than the Aus and UK cd.

I was not aware that "If That Were Me" had yet not been released in Australia. The single will include a few bonus things that the UK single did not bring. The cd includes the Remix Radio Edit of If That Were Me, the Accoustic verison of If That Were Me, the live version of When You're Gone feat Bryan Adams and the Damian LeGassic remix of I Turn To You along with interactive clips and links to the latest Melanie C News. The singles is released Feb 19th.
Along with releasing the single, whose proceeds once again goes to charity in this case Kids Helpline Charity, Melanie C wil be taking part in a National Kids Helpline which is to be broadcast Feb 23, 24 and 25th. The interiew doesn't seem to reveal more than what fans know right now, but the pictures are cute, and the set-up is very girlie. Melanie C looks very happy and hyper...but the pictures seem to have been taken a while back.

According to a Dotmusic exclusive, Melanie C's announcement of her rescheduled dates in May include a few new dates not listed on her won website. Oddly, there are a few dates missing at Dotmusic that appear on her official webpage, and there are a few dates at Dotmusic that are not up at her site. Eminem has slashed the Spice Girls by calling them "fat and ugly". In his first big UK hit, My Name Is, he sang about not knowing which Spice Girl he wanted to impregnate.
I think he was always a jerk, so it doesn't change anything here, it only proves what poor taste he has. I can't believe Elton John is going to duet with him at the Grammy's...what is wrong with Elton! Em is just very messed up as far as social skills go, he sings about prejudice like if it were something to be proud about. That is wrong to me, people should accept everyone for who they are.

After falling off the charts for a week "Northern Star" comes back with even more forse. The re-released album enters the chart at number 74 and comes back triple platinum. In other words over 900,000 copies over "Northern Star" have been sold in her home town of England. This is something that we've been waiting for since, it went double! Congrats Melanie C!
The Spice Girls were interviewed once again with yet another online magazine. Argentinian magazine Portal De Ciudad Internet interviewed all the girls and asked about solo and group works and plans. The interview is all in Spanish and is accompanied by real audio clips. Bablefish has also posted up a translation to the interview, but there are a few mistakes. I'll post up a correct translation within the next 48 hrs.

Anyway I wanted to share somthing with all of you. As I told you earlier last month I'm an architecture student. The reason I have ben very busy this week and haven't been able to do many updates has been casue my professor just told me that he has chosen to send me to work with a firm in Berlin. I've heard great things about the firm and I am very very excited to go. So I've been working on this as well as school and the website. I know you all will understand. Thanks for the support, and don't worry this site will remain to be open. It is a priority that it continues to keep fans like yourself informed with all the latest news.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but Mel has kept it low-profile for a while.
Latest is that in an interview Melanie said that the Spice Girls were not "finished" but they had no plans to release anything new for a while. In other words no new Spice Girls single, "Holler" will be the only single released off "Forever".
Melanie C has a new man in her life. It seems that Mel has been taking q's from none other than Maddy. Mel's new guy is up and coming movie director Dan Cadan. To two meets in Barbados about a month ago while both were on vacation. Dan worked with Guy Ritchie, Maddy's hubby, on "Snatch".
What's it with the name Dan?
Melanie C has updated her website with answers to a few of the letters she has gotten. She talks about her forthcoming album and so forth. She has also posted up new pictures to the gallery page.
Melanie C has spoken up against Popstars, the UK version of "Making The Band". She says that she and Mel B have talked about it and think the show is very abussive to those kids. She then says how gald she is it wasn't her, even though it could have very easily been her since the Spice Girls were created in much a similar way. And that the lucky kids are those who eren't chosen becuase they won't be the ones uffering with nothing to show for their hard work.
"I think it is such an exploitation of those poor kids. Mel B and I both agreed how glad we were it wasn't is, which it could so easily have been. The ones who haven't got through are the lucky ones. Those kids are going through hell and they won't have anything to show for it."
According to the NRJ Finland website, Melanie C will be visiting Helsinki. Melanie C will be at the Jaahalli(local ice skating arena) on Wednesday March 21st. Tickets cost 195FMK and will be on sale February 17th.

Melanie has surprised us all by announcing an American and Canadian leg of her Tour. Since the beginnning of her solo work, Melanie C has told fans and journalists alike that she wanted to play gigs in America and Canada but was warming up to break into that "market". The time has come. If I am correct Melanie C has been the only solo Spice Girl(from the original fab five) to play any gigs in this side of the ocean, and now she will be the only one to make a solo leg of her Tour on this side of the pond! I'm so sick and tired of speculations. Just let her be! Once again tabloids have gone through pictures and taken one of Melanie C at a night club. She was there with a childhood friend, Allison. Tabloids have begun speculatations of the friendship since Allsion had never been seen of or heard of before, and she and Melanie C were laughing and having a good time. They even held hands as a sign of partnership infront of the mulittude of people. Onlookers said they seemes like close friends, having a good time on a night out of town. But for some odd reason artist are always supposed to hang around people that the press can recognize off hand. Tons of artist have friends that the media never see, so why is it so hard to believe that Melanie and Allison are just good old friends? And even if they weren't jsut friends....whose business is it? It is only theirs... What I am trying to say is...back off tabloids! Allow artists to be themselves! Allow them to live their lives, and worry about what really really counts, their job...in this case the music, which happens to be excellent. We're behind ya Mel, we won't let them tear you down.
