01-29-01 No More Pepsi All ties between the Spice Girls and Pepsi comes to an end this month as the Spice Girls receive their last 150,000 pounds payement.
According to the Groves' Encyclopedia of Music, the Spice Girls are not listed in their latest version because they are "insignificant".
This is so lame! The Spice Girls have been a pop phenomenon and not to recognize their success is being ignorant.

SpiceMillennium.com has posted the audio track for "Walking On Air".
Judging from the many messages you've sent to us in the past few hours it seems you're all very concerned about Melanie.
With several tabloids printing rubbish that she is currently suffering from "severe depression" and that she told an aide she "just couldn't
face it" when asked why she was cancelling the UK and Ireland tour dates, Melanie wanted to put up the following message to clear a few
things up:
"I just wanted to let my fans know the truth because you're the important ones. The truth is I've been very ill over Christmas with that
nasty flu that everyone has had. Sadly, my vocal cords haven't recovered in time for me to do the UK and Ireland section of the tour. I'm
very upset and disappointed about this but I'm in no way depressed. Thank you for your kind concern, I'm just taking it easy for a couple
of weeks and then I'll be out there fighting fit and performing the tour like you've never seen it before. "Just couldn't face it".....are
they mad???"
Love Melanie xx
Even more fuel for speculations:
The Spice Girls have closed their official fan club, "Insider Spice". The official statement for the reasoning is:
Unfortunately, Issue 12 will be the last ever edition of Insider Spice.
All the girls future news and competitions will now feature on their
websites, it was decided that this was the most efficient way of
reaching as many fans as possible.
We will be dedicating loads more time to the websites in the future so
hopefully you'll notice a huge improvment in the future.
Melanie C has had to cancel her forthcoming UK and Ireland tour dates due to start
on 28 January because she is suffering from a throat infection.
Although the infection isn't said to be serious, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice for the next month, if she is to avoid more serious damage. Although, some reports seem to think this has more to do with her depression, rather than a throat bug.
Her tour was to start in Belfast this Sunday, then followed by dates in Dublin, York, Manchester, Edinburgh, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Brighton, Plymouth, Liverpool and then finishing in Bristol on February 11. Melanie hopes to be able to reschedule these dates in May.
She says:
"I was really looking forward to the tour and I'm sorry to have disappointed my fans but I have to follow doctor's orders and look forward to touring in May."
Her dates in Athens, Tel Aviv, Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia will still go ahead from February 17 to March 2.
All tickets will still remain valid, so if you have a ticket for one of her forthcoming UK or Ireland dates, hold on to them! Though if instead you would like a refund, contact the box office where you originally bought them.
Despite rumours that "Forever" is "dead", Brazilian offices of Virgin Records claim there will be more singles to come off of "Forever" with one just around the corner. The video for the undisclosed video has already been done.
Alan Glas, co-writer of the Spice Girls in their early days, claims he is sick of people doubting the Spice Girls talent.
"I've kept these songs private for the past five years, but now I think it's only right they should be made public. It's become fashionable to slag off the Spice Girls now, especially as their third album is plummeting in the charts. They show once and for all the Spice Girls are great singers."
Glas' oppinions on why "Forever" didn't "do well":
"They started out as a good pop group, and they should have stuck to that. If they stick to what they do well, they would still be at the top of the tree."
On February 24th, Melanie C will fly into South Africa to perform at Carnival City in Brakpan, Gauteng.
Tickets for this concert, cost between R125 and R160, and are exclusive of Ticketweb service charges.

Emma Bunton has bashed Brits organizers for not nominating Melanie C this year. Emma has said:
"It makes me furious. Mel's been extremely successful this last year. PJ
Harvey? I can't remember anything she's done for years."
Emma has branded the Spice Girls third album, "Forever", dead.
She claims now more singles will be taken off the album. It's assumed solo work will be stressed.
"I was surprised by the reaction to the album but I don't consider it to be a
failure. It sold two million copies world wide. There won't be another single
and the record seems to have come to a natural end. I want to concentrate on
solo projects and there is no time to release a single now. All our individual
projects are scheduled and we wouldn't have time for any promotion. We won't be
touring as a band this year either."
"We had to change our sound, if we'd carried on with what we were doing we would
have been slaughtered. Pop goes in cycles and I think Westlife will find sooner
than they think that they will have to move on too. People will always compare
but we are moving on."
The Spice Girls have been chosen Asia's favorite girl group.
According to Mirror.co.uk, the Spice Girls will release their next single, "Tell Me Why" in March.
