09-28-01 Duet Details Ahung reports: Following yesterdays story, "Bohemian Rhapsody" will feature on Russell Watson's album out next month. It seems that record bosses are keen on releasing the song as a single to mark the tenth anniversary of Freddie Mercury's death on Novemebr 24th.
Thanks Sam
Yet Not Confirmed:
Following the trend of the rest of the Spice Girls, Melanie C has recorded a cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody".
The song is a duet with Russell Watson, whome teamed up with Melanie C for his BBC Special in which the two sang yet another Queen song..."Barcelona".
So Solid Crew's Harvey also features on the single. He raps in the middle of the song.
This sounds so very cool. I can't wait to hear it
Thanks Orlando for Victoria's quote
Victoria and J have both spoken up about Melanie C in the last few interviews.
Victoria writes in her book, "Learning to Fly":
"When we got there(Miami) we found out Mel C wasn't coming...at first we thought it was just that her schedule clashed, but it wasn't long before we realized there was more to it...It was when we began talking about the third album that I began to sense she wasn't really comfortable. Maybe she thought she didn't need to compromise any more- after she'd had success on her own. But you do have to compromise when you're not just you...She may want to be Rocky Spice but it doesn't work like that. She can be as rocky as she wants on her own, but she can't be Rocky Spice. At the end of the day I think being a Spice Girl is a bit like a marriage. Compromise is the central part of it. You get the "for better" and the "for worse". But even though you may have your disagreements, the truth is that you're in for the long haul. And my own feeling is that in time Melanie C will realize that she can do both. Like marriages that go through bad patches you just have to work your way through it."
Ex boyfriend J has also been quoted talking about his past relationship with Melanie. This is what he had to say:
"Melanie's still in touch with my sister and my mum- they get on really, really well. Every time she sends my mum a text message, at the end she'll put, "Tell your son he's an absolute nob-head." I wish I could speak to her. The other day it was my birthday and she told my mum, "I know I'm always calling him names, but tell him I said Happy Birthday and send my love." I was going to Ritchie's the other night, and I have to drive past her place to get there, I saw the lights were on and I was like, "I'd love it if I could just..." 'Cos I did do a bit of a shitty one. I just told her one day that it wasn't going to happen. I left and never got in touch with her. I just took my stuff and walked out and never even phoned or anything, because my head was battered."
When asked how they met he said:
"I was at this party (Brit Awards 2001), I got hammered, got on with her, got off with her, then I woke up in her apartment thinking, :"What the ***k?" She'd gone to work, so I went downstairs and played on her grand piano in my boxer shorts, thinking, "Where am I?" Completely baffed. I got on with her really well, but there was always that balance of, do I get on with her as a mate, or is there something more there? But I realised that there was never that thing there where I was going to say, "I Love You.""
Does he think she would have said it him?
"I think so, yeah, and that's what did her in. I was thinking, "I think she thinks I'm full-on going to go for it," but that's because I knew I wasn't. I felt dirty on her, for ***king a really nice person around. I do hope that, if she reads this piece, we can get in touch and be friends."
Thanks Sam for the website: http://www.tocatour.com
Here are two new pictures of Melanie C supporting brother Paul and other racers at the Toca Tour.
Incase you haven't noticed, the website has been redesigned...or atleast the colors have changed. To celebrate the change we've added a few more rare tracks...please do not link to them directly. If you wish to use the tracks copy them to your server...and give us credit for the promo version of NBTSA-KungPow...that one is from a the US promo I received. Thank you. I hope you are all doing well. I'll soon be fixing the Tour page, the Magazine articles, and the Pictures pages aswell as working on the much anticipated Trackers page. I'm also working on exclusive mixes for MelCNews.com which will be for this site's use only....so perhaps the Music section will have to expand. We'll see. Talk to you all very soon. Peace J
Hi everyone! Well, it's September 19th, J's birthday. And what better way to celebrate than to re-decorate MelCNews.com and by doing so throw a small party online? I sure hope you all like the new look. It's a little Retro-Spice Girls...but I like it a lot myself. I'll be updating J's World very soon, with new pictures and all, til then hope you all have a great day. And let me thank you all for responding back to the letter below and letting me know if Melanie C has visited your home country and the date of the visit. I'll soon be adding the tracker page. It was a great idea sent in to me by Jon, and so many of you have been very supportive about the construction of tht page. I can't wait to load it up. Peace, J
Thanks Julie

Thanks Sam @ http://www.geocities/blondespiceuk/
Melanie C sponsors her brothers, Paul O'neil, in the car racing he enjoys to do. He is very good at it indeed. Here are a few screen grabs Sam has sent me of Melanie C supporting her little brother at the race. The care read Northern Star on both sides.
First Grab
Hi everyone. I'm trying to get a new page started for the site that will follow everywhere Melanie C has been since she started off her solo career. If you've seen her signing, at a promo concert, or if she has just visited your home country for promotional purpouses please let me know. Together we can make this page very very complete. So far I have all official tour dates, but it's the promotional stuff that I have no major control over. I've already received notice from a few fans in Moscow and in Canada. Thanks for the help everyone.
It is shocking what some people will do for attention, even if it means killing innocent people in the process. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families of this tragic attack that occured Sep 11 2001 in America.
Thanks SpiceGirls4eva.homestead.com &
Melanie C has just updated her site with a little brief video message. She says her album will be recorded as soon as she gets home and will definetely be out next year. Can't wait!
It's been a while, and not much has been written in the news about Melanie. Just wanted to let you all know...it's not cause the webmaster has fallen off the face of the earth. Hope you are all doing very well.
