In the midst of all the preparations for the album and single release, Miss Chisholm has taken a break with beau Thomas Starr.
These picture ought to silence critics. Melanie C look stunning...sexy...flirty...and ready to concor the world.
Original pictures of the couple are available at Big Pictures USA
According to EMIMusic Publishing, Melanie C co-wrote a track titled "Melt" with Guy Chamber, former writing partner of Robbie Williams, former beau of no other than Melanie C.
This is astounding and great news as Guy Chambers co-wrote all of Robbie Williams top hits.
I've known this for a while but was not permitted to post it online. Anyway on the 20th of December it was revealed online that Melanie C's new domain name will be MelanieC.net
Virgin has had links to raft online for about a week, but I didn't want to reveal anything until the people that found it were allowed to "spill the beans".
Wishing you all the merriest on this day. Have a great time with family and friends.
I'm on my way to San Fransisco today, I'll be back the 31st and will be updating the 1st. Sorry guys, it's the holidays and all...and I had to travel.
Cheers

Here is a link Juliana found to a small article about Melanie C and her new single and album...Melanie talks about them.
Last month we saw Melanie C "shopping" in London for what seemed like a wedding ring. It now appears, as rumours go, that she was shopping for Thomas' goddaughters shristening.
Recent rumours of Melanie C contributing the track "Water" to the next "Tomb Raider" movie have proven false as the title is neither the theme song nor included in the soundtrack listing availble at the moment.

Submitt questions for the Melanie C webchat at Northern-star.co.uk
In order to celebrate the launch of her new site, and the launch of her new single "Here It Comes Again", Melanie C will be answering your questions at her official site!
Check out Northern-star.co.uk and submit questions, only the "best" will be answered...so as they say, "thinking caps on".
'Reason' is the follow-up to the phenomenally successful debut album 'Northern Star' which sold over 900,000 copies in the UK and featured two number one singles: 'Never Be The Same Again' and 'I Turn To You.
This tim around Melanie has assembled another stellar crop of collaborators. She has co-written every song on the new album except for an exquisite cover of the Paul Buchanan classic 'Soul Boy'.
Her songwriting partners include Rick Nowels, Gregg Alexander, Phil Thornalley while production duties have been shared by Marius de Vries, Pat McCarthy, Damien Le Gassick, Gery Clark and Peter Vettese.
The video for 'Here It Comes Again' was shot in LA and directed by Charles Infante. Melanie is currently rehearsing with her band in preparation for a spring 2003 tour. Dates will be announced early in the new year.
For those who are unaware, Melanie's 'Northern Star', which released 6 singles, had 5 top 5 singles. Damien Le Gassick remixed the 'I Turn To You' single, although the video cut was produced by Hex Hector. This may imply that this time around there will be dance-tracks on the album. Last time around the only dance track, 'I Turn To You', was originally a ballad which was remixed into a dance number for the single.
"Reason" includes a cover of 'Soul Boy'. Words and Music to the track 'Soul Boy' are by Paul Buchanan. The song has been performed by Polish singer Edyta Gorniak.
To hear Edyta Gorniak sing the track off her solo album entitled "Edyta Gorniak"(97) click through to this fan-page. The track is only 30 seconds long...I'm sure kazaa must have it online.
Won't you be my soul boy
Melanie C has just finished shooting the video for "Here It Comes Again" today, Dec 10th.
The video will be premiered on MTV January 10th (here at MelCNews.com we assume this is the British MTV date).
Snippets of the video will be previewed at the official website, northern-star.co.uk, starting January 6th!
The video was directed by Charles Infante. The first day of the video shoot was shot in downtown LA and the second day at the Vasquez Rock in the California desert.
The excitment is in the air, and it's all cause our Melanie is about to create some major waves in the music industry, this time things will never be the same again.
Melanie C's first single off "Reason" will be "Here It Comes Again"...and will be released Feb 24th.
The track will get its first radio play January 10th but you will be able to hear an exclusive preview at Northern-star.co.uk on January 6th (w'll have the track shortly after the preview).
"Here It Comes Again" was co-written with Marius de Vries and Robert Howard from 'The Blow Monkeys'. Marius co-wrote the track "Why" from the Northern Star album.
The single has been produced by Pat McCarthy and Marius de Vries.
The album "Reason" will be released March 10th.
A brief article about Melanie C's "new appearance", visible at the EMA's and her new video shoot, has caused the a lot of commotion in the tabloids. The Daily Star has picked up the story and have, for once, been extremely nice to Melanie.
Another article about Melanie C at the videoshoot was published on the Daily Record. There are two more pictures from this article which aren't posted because you can see them below (12-03-03). One of the pictures has Mel singing at the camera and the other one has Mel C saluting the camera-man with her peace-sign.
Melanie looks great, no wonder both tabloids have decided to publish the images and a story. Melanie C has also taken her black shirt off and kept the leather fitted top in the Daily Star picture, exposing a little more skin (if you know what I mean)...but she looks so classy and sexy doing it.
Melanie C features in weekly magazine "Closer" (7-13 of Dec).
Melanie C also features in the DVD of "Bend It Like Beckham" in a short clip of the "red carpet". Here are three screen grabs of Melanie in all her glory.
Here's one Mel of a transformation- from sweaty Betty to sexy rock chik.
Former Spice Girl Melanie C shows off her new slimline figure while filming the video for her new single "Here It Comes Again".
She looked like a cross between stunning Aussie singer Natalie Imbruglia and EastEnder's Kat Slter while working on the Los Angeles shoot.
Melanie C's new image is a far cry from the podgy, sweaty mess snapped during a gig in April last year at LA's famous Roxy Club.
But she was back in shape at the MTV European Music Awards in Barcelona last month. Mel recently had a huge bust-up with her record label Virgin when they told her to lose a stone before the release of her second solo album.
It was originally due out in September but has been postponed until March 10th. "Here It Comes Again" is out on February 24th.
These new photos, from BWP, are fabulous, and they prove that Melanie C is indeed back overseas and not in England. It's hilarious how the press gets information "wrong" and find ways to make things so "dramatic". "A bust up with her record label"...that's been proven not true...
Updated version of tracks written by Melanie C for her forthcoming album according to EMI...this does not mean they will be on the album:
Day After Day (Richard Stannard/ Matt Rowe/ Melanie Chisholm/ Julian Gallagher)
Once again, these tracks may not be on the album, but these are the tracks on the EMI Music Pub as of today. I'm glad to see Rhett Lawrence in the list of co-writters...incase you aren't aware he co-wrote Never Be The Same Again so I hope he brings in some of the r'n'b tracks into the album, since it's supposed to be "mixed" like "Northern Star" was.
Here is a small article about Melanie C and a friend at the filming of the "Here It Comes Again" video. It's a lot of speculation and if you ask me a lot of rubbish...but I like seeing the pics. If the "mystery girl" is Ying, as we assume, it seems like they are still great friends, and when I think that I haven't seen Melanie C hanging out with Ying as much this year (when compared to the last previous 3 years)...I can completely understand them clowning around together.
Frightening news reaches us of former Spice Girl Mel C's second album, due out in March.
The newly-svelt singer has let Peter Vettesse, co-writer of Geri Halliwell's dismal single Calling, co-write her title track, "Reason".
Naturally we aren't comparing Geri's "talent" with 28-year-old Mel's- but our fingers are crossed that she'll do a better job than the ginger one.
Meanwhile, life is going swimmingly for Ms Chisholm.
Having taken some time out from the showbiz circus, the Liverpool lasss found time last March to fall in love with handsome construction boss named Thomas Starr.
Since then they have spent most of the summer in Malibu. And spice have spotted the couple eyeing up rings in jewellery shops.
tee hee hee This is the mirror's post online. It's a slightly different story than what they published in the news...which rumours have it put the mirror in deep trouble with BP. It seems they published an exclusive picture of Mel shopping for jewelery with Thomas, a picture that had been paid for an exclusive magazine layout...and the deal has gone sour now. Something tells me the 3am girls are in trouble...but they are being so nice with Melanie and therefore I'm on their side for the moment.
According to record stores, Melanie C's upcoming single will not be "Here It Comes Again" as we expected...but a song titled "Special Cases". This is what the list of releases for Feb 24th 2003.
Oddly enough we have word Melanie C is recording the video for Here It Comes Again in LA...so what is it Melanie? Do the singles come packaged in "special cases" and that's where the mess up is or are we filming two videos at the same time? (Some artists do this in order to have the videos prepared ahead of time...in this way they don't have to take time off between promotions and tours in order to record videos).
This was updated abit late, it was received the 21st (but I wasn't here to check it). Here is a scan from Now Magazine with Melanie C.
Check out last month for more Melanie C pictures and magazine scans.
In Melanie B's book, "Catch A Fire", there is a brief explanation of what happened in 98 when the girls decided the faith of the Spice Girls.
"Mel (C) was disappointed at first with the news of the hiatus (at the meeting Victoria and Melanie B as for a 6 month hiatus inn order to care for their babies) because she wanted to continue on working, then Mel's attitude changed when realized this would be a good opportunity to make the solo record which she always wanted to do"...
(further down the paragraph Mel B says)..."I really liked 'Northern Star'...and I have heard some of the demos for the second album and they are really good...Melanie is very talented."
I'm glad Mel B commented on how disappointed Melanie C was, and how she didn't want to let fans down. So many people tend to think she left the group to pursue a solo career, when in fact she pursued the solo career since the group was put on a hold and not with her approval.
This ought to go in the "site news" section...but I wanted to make sure you all got to see it.
Thanks for your emails. I just wanted to add that you all are the greatest visitors. I appreciate the emails, and the news you all send in. The world is a large place, and it's great to hear what Melanie C is available in your corners of the world. I do my best to post the news I hear in my little section of the world, but I am much interested in seeing how her career flourishes world-wide.
Hope you all have a great holiday season. I'll be traveling a lot this year, for 3 weeks total. So the site might not be as updated as it genreally is, but that will only last 3 weeks.
Enjoy the holidays
