Several times, the Spice Girls have talked about coming back as a group.
The Spice Girls never came to an end, like Simon Fuller has said, it's a chapter that has never been fully written, the members just froze that moment in time.
Currently all Spice Girls, including ex-Spice Girl Geri, are working on solo projects but Melanie B aka Scary Spice claims plans are on their way for a reunion of sorts.
Melanie B claims the group may come back togther in three to fours years time, when they've each been able to prove themselves as artists.
"We're just taking time out and giving each other a break, but things will
happen as a group, but not for another three or four years. When you've
travelled the world for six years and you've seen so many different
cultures and lifestyles, you're thankful that you've experienced that,
but you're also thankful for a bit of a rest."
"I got married and had a baby, there were things that we all did individually
because we managed ourselves for so long and we manage ourselves as a Spice entity now."
And what about Geri? Well Melanie B claims she and has been talking a lot with Geri, and peace has been made with her and all remaining four members. Upon Geri's departure, Geri said she would never say no to a reunion, this was before the war of words occured. After the war of words Geri said she wouldn't want to work with the girls again, and the girls said they weren't going to want to work with Geri either...But maybe friendship never ends and only time will prove whether the come-back of the fab five as they were originally will occur.
Hi everyone! Just a little update since things have been pretty slow lately.
I've been working on the website(no apparent change has been updated) and am pleased to say that sometime this coming month MelCNews.com will get a bit larger and better.
Keep coming back cause it'll be worth it, atleast I think so.
Here is a scan off the actual article that was posted at the Mirror's online site.
BEING a celebrity definitely has its advantages.
You can get into clubs and bars whenever you want without needing a ticket, but unfortunately your other half has to have that golden pass.
Mel C's man Thomas Starr, 34, had a spot of trouble getting into the Lenny Kravitz after-show party when his precious ticket went missing.
Mel, refusing to go back up the steps to Soho's Pop nightclub, decided it was best to get 3am to organise Thomas's entrance.
Naturally we agreed to the former Spice Girl's request, and Thomas was partying away like the rest of us within minutes.
Mel, 27, has been in Los Angeles for months recording her new album.
After dropping into Lenny Kravitz's gig the pair moved on to the after-show shindig where they spent most of the night snogging and cuddling. Bless.
Shaking her wet hand the star said: "Oh sorry about that wet hand thing. It's not wee. It's just I had to take a couple of pints over to our table."
Good to see you back, Mel.
You haven't changed.
Melanie is currently working on her second solo album, the follow up to the platinum selling "Northern Star", and is taking her time to ensure that the album is every bit as fantastic as the predecessor. Fear not if you're suffering from Melanie withdrawal because we are sure there will be updates soon leading up to the completion of the album.
Meanwhile, don't forget to vote for Melanie C on the MTV Europe poll. details if you scroll down a bit.
Melanie C's "I Turn To You" has been nominated for favorite video at MTV Europe. MTV is celebrating 15 years in Europe and they're celebrating with this poll. Vote for Melanie C and get her on top of the poll.
Spice Girls' "Wannabe" was also chosen.

Rumour
title: Here It Comes Again
Uhm...I don't really believe this. Some titles sound possible, but Melanie C said "ALL NEW MATERIAL" and there are a bunch of stuff towards the end which are definetly not new material. It's material that didn't even make it on the last album but was part of the demo tape. So you tell me. Either way, it's interesting to see the rumours that go around. I do think "Here It Comes Again" would be a pretty neat title, don't you? I can't conceive Melanie C singing "Come Over To My Bed" that sounds more a-la-Halliwell.(No diss intended to Geri)
Without Melanie C on the track it seems that Fat Les's single had no chance of scoring big. The track failed to make an impression on the top 75 singles of the UK.
Rumour
Recent rumours have it that Melanie C's recorded 30 tracks. Only 12 or so are expected to go on the finished album, the other tracks will be used for b-sides and or soundtracks. Melanie C needs to record one more track before the album goes into a heavier production mode, ie getting mixed etc.
STOP! Don't buy "Who Invented Fish And Chips?"!
It appears that Melanie C is definetly not on it. AHung has been so nice to talk straight to Virgin about this, and they've said that Melanie C did lay down some vocals for the track, but was ultimately not included in the final edit becuase they didn't fit in.
Virgin has confirmed that the recording for the track was open to several other singers, and in the chaos of it all the producer was not able to put in all the vocals recorded.
Angie later asked what was the deal with Melanie C's follow-up album. Virgin replied that the album was going "great", it wasn't complete cause Melanie C wanted it to be perfect, but the tracks they've heard were great. So the official stance on the follow-up album is, not all the tracks have been layed down.
Apologies for those who did buy the track already. I didn't hear any official word on any of this til today. I'm kinda stuck with five copies I've ordered and are being shipped....@#%^@!
Hi everyone. Sorry for posting this up here, it's not Mel C news...
With news being a tad bit slow the past few days, I've been working hard at re-constructing the archives. The archive news section will start on the eve of Melanie C's first announcement of not-Spice Girls related material, in other words first mention of a solo outing. It will continue from that breaking moment to the present.
I appreciate your loyalty to the site. I promise it'll get better as we expand and get more space to accomodate newer and better things.

Melanie C fans have protested that the "Who Invented Fish and Chips? (Pop It In The Onion Bag)" video doesn't include Melanie C listed as a participant, she isn't even in the video. Fans also have protested that the single, which was reported by Ananova.com, NME.com and other online music websites as featuring Melanie C, does not include her singing the lead. They claim if she is on the audio track than she must be the back-up vocals...and they are barely audible.
I have as of yet not been able to get ahold of the single...I wonder if any press release will be made on the alligations.
Here are pictures of Melanie C at the "Women and Health Center" Re-Opening. She looks great! I think I'm inlove...again
Attention British Fans!
In an attempt to promote their new single, Fat Les will be marching today, June 3rd, through the West End. They'll parade from Dean Street at 2pm and descend on Tower Records in Piccadilly Circus where they will hold a launch party. They'll be perfroming the track, "Who Invented Fish and Chips? (Pop It In The Onion Bag)", at the launch party.
Apologies to fans who get this message late. NME updated their news today, June 3rd, and the time zone difference was of no help.
Fat Les releases the single "Who Invented Fish and Chips? (Pop It In the Onion Bag)" featuring Melanie C on June 3rd. Don't forget to buy your copies. The cd is available from 101cd.com or HMV.co.uk
Lets help give this single a high entry. Ant and Dec scored a top 5 entry, by entering at number 3. I think this song is much better, let's make it justice.

It seems the media can't help what they write. Here is an excerpt from an article from The Guardian in which the publicist's control over what is written in articles about the artists they represent is explained. Melanie C is used as an example with her "official" story behind her weight gain between 1999-2000 and the publicists "official" statement. It seems that sometimes publicists aren't as ready to explain incidents as quickly and as honestly as the artists are willing to, leading journalists to write brief useless articles.
"Phil Hall, editor-in-chief of Hello!, says big-money deals bring as many
problems as they solve: the more you pay, the less you get. "Big fees do not
guarantee good interviews or picture shots - quite the opposite. Money seems
to empower publicists to abuse the publication paying the fees."
He cites publicists who demand to fly to photo shoots (first class, of
course) accompanied by relatives who they insist must write the story. All
this makes editors uneasy, and short-changes the reader. Neil Stevenson, now
editor of the Face, cites his brush with Mel C a couple of years ago as a
turning point.
"She was in LA and looking increasingly muscular. The tabloids photographed
her with a short-haired friend and ran stories hinting that she was a
lesbian. In our interview, she talked about the dietary supplement she had
been taking, and how when she stopped taking this 'quasi-steroid', she had
inflated. That was why she looked so fat.
"I thought this was an amazing story that explained all the things that had
been going on in her life in a quite conventional way. She was happy to
share it. Unfortunately, in order to get the interview, we had to give copy
approval. Her people didn't take it all out at once, but they gradually
chipped away. Eventually, after five passes, we were left with a press
release saying basically, 'I am not a lesbian, by Mel C.' " The incident led
Stevenson and his girlfriend to set up the scurrilous website Popbitch,
which quickly became the standard-bearer for the anti-celebrity movement.
