Melanie C's mistery man has been named. 34 year old Thomas Starr, director of building and plant hire firm Allen Construction, has captured Melanie C's heart. She even flew him over to NYC for Liza Minelli's wedding earlier this month. Melanie C was seen sitting on Thomas' lap and giggling at his jokes at the wedding. Mel went through great lengths not to be photographed with Thomas, probably hoping that she could establish a relationship before the press jinxed it.

The Sunday Mirror claims Thomas and Mel meet a few months ago thanks to a common friend. Since then their love for football managed to ignite the fire that continues to burn birghtly as close sources can reveal.

"Mel finds it hard to sustain relationships with men because she is worried they are going out with her because of her fame and fortune. But Thomas is different and things are going extremely well."

Mel's excitment in life can be easily noticed in her look. Once having suffered of depression she let herself stop working out and gave little interest to her looks. In recent months she has trimmed up showing off a glowing complexion and slimline figure. She has even gone back to her tighter fitting sexier tops and smiles none-stop when seen with Thomas.

I'm hopeful that this relationship will last for Melanie. She is a major sweetheart and deserves the best, and her recent glow shows that she is happy with life and I wish her the best cause she deserves it. Good for you Melanie!

Plans for Melanie C's world domination have begun. It is rumoured that Melanie C will participate in the theme for the World Cup, she'll collaborate a song titled "Pop It In the Onion Bag" with Keith Allen.

Rav, writer for Showbiz fron News of the World, has claimed to having heard a sneal peak of the track "Here It Comes Again" from Melanie C's new album and have promised it will be a top scoring track.

Metro Newspaper has claimed Melanie C has re-recorded a cover of the classic ABBA track "SOS" for her forthcoming album. It is claimed that Melanie chose to cover the track because it is a childhood favorite. The track is described as heavy metal meets Euro Disco-pop.

How true these statements are is yet uncertain. One thing is for sure, if they are any where close to being correct the album sounds like a winner already, getting some good reviews so early on. Let's hope we'll hear some official news soon.

"Bend It Like Beckham", the big new British movie featuring TWO of Melaniešs tracks, will be hitting cinemas in the UK on 12 April 2002.

The film comedy about two girls desperate to play football like their hero David Beckham despite huge pressure from their parents to be more girlie, contains the tracks I Turn To You and Independence Day.

Independence Day was re-recorded especially for the movie and features brand new lyrics. It will also appear on the original soundtrack available to buy soon.
Due to recording commitments with the new album, Melanie is unsure whether shešll be able to attend the premiere on 11 April..

Melanie C attended the wedding of Liza Minnelli in NYC. This was the biggest event in NYC for the last few months, many other celebs were invited. The guest list included classic stars like Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and Elizabeth Taylor and modern sensations like Melanie C and Mya.

Tarryn reports that it seems that Melanie C is not ready to leave States side yet. She has been spotted in New York City with the man she was photographed with in LA. She is believed to have attended a wedding with her friend.

Melanie C is done recording her second solo album. The pop diva will be returning to UK very shortly. It is now just a matter of getting the albums details worked out (such as the cover,first single,mixes,all the post-recording-production) for its release date, believed to be Sept 2002.

Look out for the Bend It Like Beckham soundtrack as the movie will officially hit the Uk theaters April 17. The soundtrack includes "Independence Day" which has been remixed and the lyrics have been altered. The movie stars ex=All Saints Shazney Lewis and Victoria Beckham and David Beckham in cameo roles.

The man that has been sited with Melanie C in the latest pictures from the Sunset Marquis (03-09-02) has also been spotted with the pop-diva in several other scenes. As a matter of fact the gentleman was spotted with her in early January and has been spotted with her once again in March. Who is the mystery man? All we know is he has been photographed on several accounts with Melanie. I wonder if this means Miss Chisholm has found someone stable?

It has been revealed by the Mirror online that Melanie C will most likely be bumping into old pal Geri.

It seems that the posh LA Sunset Marquis is now the temporary home for Geri, Melanie C and Billie Piper. In the words of 3am, there might be loads of cat-fighting for the other visitors viewing pleasure as all three girls seem to have some bad past to put aside if they wish to share the posh hotel.

Billie is the wife of Chris Evans, ex-supposed boyfriend of none other than Geri Halliwell. Among arriving Billie threw a hissy fit as Evans payed more attention to Geri than his 19 year old wife. Billie stormed off soon after with a purse full of cash and lots of shopping to do in order to put it all behind.

No word has yet been said that Geri and Mel C have bumped into each other at the hotel's pool, but it is likely that the two former bandmates will run into each other in the common areas of the hotel at some point.

Security must be very tight in the hotel with such well known celebs at hand.

I think it's Bryan Adams, it would make sense since he was a collaborator on "Northern Star" and he has a similar look, but whomever he is he is surely one of the men working with Mel on her new album. Since Melanie C has left England for a more relaxed tabloidless America it is only natural that the tabloids would follow Mel to the western shores of the LA. Heat magazine published a magazine article about the star, and they were very happy to publish pictures of Melanie C picking up their Feb 14 edition which included a celeb-horoscope mentioning non other than Melanie C!

Melanie C shows off a slimline new look in this pictures, she must really be serious about the marathon. Once again Melanie looks very sexy, very healthy and extremely happy.

Keeping fans at bay, Melanie C has updated her website with her whereabouts. Little did Miss C know that we've known for a while now that she is in LA.

According to the official statement Melanie finds herself in USA recording and co-writting tracks for her follow-up album. She hopes to be back in the UK mid-march....just in time for the marathon she is rumoured to be preparing for.

According to some recent sources Melanie C is preparing for Britain's top marathon, the Flora London Marathon. Melanie C has lost six kilos and has been training with a top diet expert and a personal trainer to get in shape for next months marathon. A source close to Melanie C says the singer looks great and is very fond of participating cause she still sees herself as a role model and would like to help kids see the benefits of getting fit. The source also says Melanie C has no set time in which she'd like to finish the run, but she would like to finish in style.

For those of you who don't remember, Melanie C is a big fan of running and marathons. Just before "Northern Star" was released Melanie ran a marathon and made some big splashes in the news with her fitness regime. It sounds like she is back to her usual self. It's nice to hear she's enjoying her time recording her follow up to 99's "Northern Star". Good luck Mel.
