Virgin through a party in Spain a few days ago and handed out promo Here It Comes Again and On The Horizon singles. Here is the On The Horizon cover.

United States fans will be happy to know that "Reason" will be released as an import cd in California on April 29th.

This may also mean that anyone living outside of California may want to check out their local cd store around the same date.

"Bend It Like Beckham" is being aired in theaters around the United States. Starting March 12th it's been released, but hasn't hit the large markets yet. Keep your eyes open, for it may soon be playing in your nearest theater.

"Here It Comes Again" continues to climb up in the Brazilian charts!

This week Melanie C is at 18th spot! She started off in the 48th spot.

"Reason" will finally be released in Brazil on Monday March 31st.

Melanie C finds herself at the second spot on the Lebanese music charts(airplay).

Meanwhile "Reason" slips to the 37th spot in the UK album charts.

David informs us that Melanie C's "Reason" has dropped out of the Spanish Top 100, while "HICA" finally drops out of their Spanish Top 20 singles.

Meanwhile Jenny tells us that in Germany, "Reason" holds on to the charts in the 23rd spot, dropping ten spots from number 13.

It is yet unknown where the album is in the UK, but if midweeks are correct the album will be in ther 32nd spot.

Meanwhile, Andrea has interviewed Melanie C upon her stay in Italy for a press confrence for "Reason" and visit to TRL Italy. Melanie C confirmed a World Tour will begin in late Summer, and that there will be 4 potential singles for "Reason". The tracks according to Melanie, at the moment, will be HICA, OTH, YYY, and Reason....all in order.

According to Sayhey, Melanie C's new video for "On The Horizon" is set around a swimming pool with about 30 Melanie C's dressed in different styles and costumes just basically singing.

This is all a rumour and has not been verified.

Since On The Horizon will be the next single, some of us fans think that Melanie C should concider remixing the single.

Reason will be released April 1st in Canada...so if you live in Canada and have yet not bought the album, it's your time to be delighted with the results of the recording. It's a brilliant album.

I previously posted that HICA entered the Canadian charts at number 36, there is a correction to make. It entered the chart at number 33.

Rumours of a drop are just rumours.

Melanie C's moderator for her official chatroom has spoken up about accusations.

He claims Melanie C's promotion for HICA has not been altered, or made more "PA"ish just to sell more copies of "Reason". The plan all along was for her to perform small accoustic sets and none were added due to "poor sales" as the press has been claiming (In particular NOTW's Rav).

Melanie C has sold 40,000 copies up to date in England with 300,000 being sold in Europe already. The tickets for her concert are either sold out or close to being sold out, so the tour is selling very well.

As for the ridiculous claim from Rav. about Melanie C being dropped becuase she's only sold 3,000 copies of "Reason" and only sold them at her gigs, well Melanie C's mod was able to tell us it's all rubbish as our Melanie has sold over 3,000 copies of the album and well, Melanie C doesn't sell her cds at her gigs.

Melanie is in the lead, and this means she'll be on all next month...BUT the catch is that we need to keep her up there and Ainslie Henderson fans are planning to vote her off by voting for Ainslie non-stop from today to the end of the month which is in a matter of days...not weeks.

Official or Unofficial, remixes of Here It Comes Again have been found online. It is rumoured they are from the "vinyl-promo" for the single...but the question is why didn't the tracks receive more airplay or club play? The track is wonderful...maybe the next single needs to be a remix Melanie...have you heard the unofficial On The Horizon mixes? I've heard one and it's great (cheers Gaga).

Midweek charts reveal that "Reason" is currently at number 36

Unless sales pick-up the album will be out of the top 40 by next week.

Virgin needs to release the next single to the radios ASAP. Virgin only waited a month between 'Goin'Down' and 'Northern Star' the single with the album release between both singles.

More reports abound whether or not Melanie C will be dropped from Virgin Records due to "low" sales of "Reason".

"Reason" drops in the UK charts into the 19th spot this week, 14 spots from it's first week. Yet her management claim that talk about dropping is all untrue. About 37,500 copies of "Reason" have been sold in England alone, with the album entering many European markets, something other solo Spice albums have not been able to do, other than "Northern Star".

As with "Northern Star" sales should pick up upon release of more singles and promotional tours.

"Reason" is released in Australia today...go get'em.

Don't forget, Melanie will be performing "Positively Somewhere" this Saturday the 22nd of March on The Wright Ticket (National Lottery) which will air on BBC1 starting at 7:35pm.

Tickets for the Cologne gig in Germany are now on sale, they went on sale on Friday the 21st of March.

Melanie C's "Reason" won't be released in Australia until March 24th 2003, thus it hasn't even entered the charts yet.

"Here It Comes Again" came in at number 49, but it got very little airplay and very little promotion. So it actually did pretty well with the sales.

It's no wonder Virgin is now stressing out and pulling all the publicity stunts possible....like the radio commercial for both the album and single!

Well, J's been a naughty boy getting caught up in the world of books. So here is a quick catch up to all the emails I've received.

It'll take a little while before the lady has toured the rest of the world in order for her to be able to be in the US and tour and promote her brand new album...so we gotta give her some time. Melanie C hit the MTV Spain charts like a real pro, coming into the 2nd spot, just below miss Mariah Carey, on the 3rd of this month, so congrats to her and thanks to Bianca for the email.

Stephen B also let us in a little information about Melanie's set list at her "secret" venue in Liverpool. Miss Chisholm entertained a few lucky guests who got a sneek peak at the tour, with such tracks like, Yeh Yeh Yeh, Lets Love, Positively Somewhere, Do I, When You're Gone, Here It Comes Again, and the encore of Reason and Never Be The Same Again (lovely oldie).

Melanie C will be appearing in the "Brand Spanking New Music Week" program on Thrusday 27th of March! She'll be performing four new songs off the "Reason" album: Yeh Yeh Yeh, Do I, Positively Somewhere, Here It Comes Again.

The show airs at 7pm (London Time) Thursday March 27th, check your local MTV station for further details.

Melanie C will also be appearing on TRL Italy on the 27th. The TRL show will be live, the Brand Spanking New Music Week special was recorded last week when she went in for the text chat.

Rumours have it that 'Reason' has climbed it's way up into the 4th spot in the UK midweekcharts.

MELANIE C DENIES CLAIMS OF BEING AIRBRUSHED

SINGAPORE (SOUNDBUZZ) - Spice Girl Melanie C has lashed out at claims her album cover was airbrushed to make her look slimmer. The sexy star was slated after the stunning pictures appeared on the front of new release Reason.

But the star insists, "With things that have gone on in the past, there was no way I was going to have that picture stretched. I didn't want it made so that I looked thinner. That's not the message I want to send out.

According to Monday sales, Melanie C's "Reason" was the top 5th selling album in the UK.

Updated sales charts for Monday and Tuesday show her holding strong to the 5th spot, while HICA falls to the 28th spot on the singles chart.

This is a great accomplishment. If "Reason" has the same luck Northern Star did, after the tours and a couple more singles this gem of an album may actually top the charts as "Northern Star" jumped up 6 positions up from it's debut chart position by the end of Melanie's promotional tours. Ofcourse it took a year, but that was the added bonus of promoting and releasing the singles.

This ought to definetely kill some rumours, if you know where I am going.

The first fifty people who bought Melanie C's "Reason" today, in Liverpool, got a signed cd and free tickets for a special oportunity to meet the lady herself this wednessday!

Lucky kids! I love the way Melanie has been rewarding her truest fans...there is no gimic to it, just giving back to those who support her no matter what. Had she said that the first 50 who bought the cd in liverpool where going to receive a special gift I'm sure some people would show up to buy it who aren't hardcore fans. It's a great little bonus.

"Reason" is, was, Radio 2's album of the week. They previewed the album by playing album tracks on the Ken Bruce show at 9:30.

Melanie C's "Reason" is out on the 10th in the UK! Ironically, the backlash has begun...as did with "Northern Star". Rave reviews pourned in for the album weeks before the release of the first single "Here It Comes Again" right on time when the promos were released. It now seems that since "HICA" did come in at number 1 the tabloids and music magazines have decided to take back the rave reviews....a bunch of bullocks to me. TOTP is the last magazine to join in the backlash. I'd say boycott the crap network BUT then again lets make them eat the words back.

Melanie C has announced via her website that "On The Horizon" will be her next single.

"Here It Comes Again" came in at number 7 on the charts last week and came into the 16th spot this week, it's second week.

There is absolutely no truth to recent rumours of Virgin being upset with Melanie and threatening to drop her due to the ranking of "Here It Comes Again".

According to Melanie C's manager, Nancy (thank Louise), Virgin is content with the entrance of "Here It Comes Again". Despite it not coming into the top 5 in the UK it's done considerably well elsewhere and it's the album they are focussing on.

"On The Horizon" should be a more radio friendly single and will be released in June.

Melanie C's "Reason" is album of the week in the current edition of Music Week (March 1st).

Congratulations to Melanie C, this will hopefully be the first of several acknowledgments for the album.

There had been rumours online that Melanie C was featured in a commercial for an MTV program in the USA.

I can now confirm that she is indeed included in the "Big Ubran Myth Show" introduction. The last clip of "Here It Comes Again", where Melanie and the fans meet in the dessert is used as the last clip of the opening of the show.

It's fairly upsetting that MTV USA would use this clip, cause they seem to think the video is that good, BUT won't play the full video on TRL or on MTV normally. They can't hide behind the "we never for the video" like they did with the release of ITTY or NBTSA. If you want to, request the video from MTV USA and let them know how we, as fans, are upset they'd use it for a commercial but not play the great track.
