6-28-04 08:10 EST The York Barfly Gig Back Up Thank You Once Again Jessy and Marc for the audio Listen to the York Barfly concert now The bootleg is back up, sorry for the inconvenience. We're glad things have been resolved enough to make the audios available to the fans once again. Enjoy!
It's a shame that some people can ruin a great opportunity for others. Melanie-C.org has been hosting the Glasgow bootleg and they've just found out that someone is selling that same free bootleg on ebay.
Due to this, we have decided to pull the plug on our bootleg. I hope to have it up and running in the near future, but if whoever did that is visiting this site, I say shame on you for spoiling everyone elses chance to hear the new songs.
These bootlegs have been made by the fans for the fans and none of the people recording or encoding have every asked for one cent, why should anyone else then ask for money? Selling these audio files on ebay is stealing...and it's wrong.
The York concert of the 15th of June was part of the five day Barfly Tour of 2004, a tour which show cased a new side of Melanie and new tunes. Melanie played all her fan classics, top 10 hits and a bonus round of new material from her forthcoming album.
Melanie C was in tip top shape as she hit the stage with 6 new tunes that put the rock back into this talented singers catalogue. So get ready for a feast for the ears. This music is not for the weak, or those who venture off for music without an edge, we welcome back the edgy rock chick who made ex lovers regreat their wrong doings and young adults sweat with anthems like Goin'Down, Ga Ga , and Something's Going To Happen.
Listen to the York Barfly concert now
It's been a while since my last update eh?
Well fear not, all has been going well both in my life as well as in Melanie's!
So let me fill you in on what the lady herself has been up to. Melanie has posted news on her official site that she is touring the Barfly. For those who are unaware, the Barfly is a bar that holds intimate venues, kinda like The House Of Blues but it's in the UK.
Melanie has decided that after 3 months of working on her upcoming album she was ready to showcase some songs to the fans, and let me tell you this lady has surely delivered, long gone are days of soft ballads or easily listening songs, and back is the rock chick we expected from Melanie. Her new material is very energetic and reminds many fans of old classics like Ga Ga, Something's Gonna Happen, Go! but with a much edgier feel.
So what is next? Melanie is going to finish the small tour, return to the studio and finish the album. She is at the same time setting up her own record label called Red Girl Records.
Audio of the concert is soon to come. She is also going to revamp her website and add footage of the tour, so be sure to check that out.
Melanie is back out in the limelight looking amazing and we here at MelCNews are also ready to kick it into high gear.
So stay tuned for the new audio, the new lyrics, and hopefully many new images.
tentative titles of the new songs: Beautiful Intensions, Never Say Never, Superstar, Last Night On Earth, You'll See, Little Pieces
