Family:Melanie C has five brothers and one half-sister.

  • Joan + Alan Chisholm had both Jad Chisholm and Melanie Chisholm. At a young age Melanie's parents divorced.
  • Joan eventually remarried, as did Alan Chisholm.
  • Joan + Dennis O'Neill had Paul O'Neill. Jad, Paul and Melanie grew up together.
  • Alan Chisholm had Emma Chisholm out of wedlock.
  • Alan Chisholm has married Carol Chisholm and now has a family of his own with three boys.
Tattoos:Melanie has a total of 10 tattoos. If you look close at the pictures on the site you'll spot them. Here they are in order to application:

  • right bicep: Celtic band on bicep. First tattoo ever applied in LA, stands for allegance to tribe in Melanie's case the Spice Girls.
  • right shoulder: Japanese characters of woman and strength on her shoulder done in the early days of the Spice Girls after the celtic band.
  • left bicep: Celtic cross on spot between bicep and triceps done sometime during the Spiceworld Tour. It stands for protection.
  • tummy: Angel written out on the tummy in honor of her grandparents who passed away because of cancer. Applied in 1998 while on the Spice Girls' Spiceworld Tour.
  • lower back: Lotus flower with tibetian writting on the top. It reads grounded.
  • upper back: Phoenix (the ying) rising out of the flames between her shoulder plates. Done when recording "Northern Star"...symbolic isn't it...goes hand in hand with lyrics of "Feel the Sun"?
  • right leg: Chinese yang dragon on calf. Melanie C was told she was out of balance because according to Chinese mythology the phoenix, ying, was a symbol of feminine power and without the dragon she would be out of balance. So she got it done to bring harmony to her life and career, it was done sometime after the "Never Be The Same Again" video was released and before the "I Turn To You" video was recorded.
  • left leg: none
  • right hand: Small star on hand between thumb and index finger in honor of "Northern Star" and it going platinum twice over.
  • right wrist: Thai writing (Love) on inner wrist done sometime in the 2001 World Tour.
  • left wrist: Thai writing (Happiness) on inner wrist done sometime in the 2001 Wourld Tour.
Favorite Foods:Mom's Chinese Food Feast

Charities:Yes, Melanie loves to contribute to charities. Proceeds to last single, "If That Were Me" went to Kandu Arts. Also helps No Place Home etc. Melanie C has spoken up about the dangers in Smoking and has used her celebrity for Breast Cancer and other Cancer fund raisers. All in all, Mel tries to build awareness in social problems and serious illnesses.

Rumoured Hook Ups: Melanie C has been "hooked up" with many famous faces by the press. Among the celebs Mel is rumoured to have dated are: Robbie Williams, Anthony Kedis, Bryan Adams

Confirmed Ex: Since her solo album was released, much focus was put on Mel's love life. Once having been able to hide her love life behind that of her bandmates more outrageous "dates" Melanie's love life was in focus. Melanie C has dated J from boyband 5ive, Dan Cadan, and movie producer Dan aswell as racer

Current boyfriend: Thomas Starr, 34, is a mature friendly construction manager.

Car:BMW Z3, we're told younger brother Paul took this baby out for a test drive as soon as she bought it...and scratched it up a bit. Paul is fine and the car is as good as new.

Best Writing Places/Style:Mel confessed she loved to write music and felt the most inspired during long showers. She enjoys to record her lyrics using pen and paper.

Pets:When Mel bought her apartment, she's Baby Spice, Emma Bunton's neighbour, she decorated the apartment with a big aquarium full of fish. She's also two cats, LouBlou and Jessie. She is also rumoured to have a pet dog by the Daily Star who caught her walking a dog at High Street Kensington.
