With the success of the first two singles off the "Northern Star" album, released in 99, Melanie C hit UK and Europe for an extensive tour in support of her album and forth-coming singles. The tour was rightly named, the Northern Star tour. Melanie C's album went on to become one of the best sold album of 2000, it was recognized as one of the best releases of 99 and she was nominated for several awards.
